Name of the Department: Turkish Language & Literature Department
Mission of the Department: To provide gifted students with competence in their mother tongue, to extend and guide their vision of Turkish and World Literature in a more progressive way, and to create intellectual readers. Turkish, Literature and Language & Expression Skills lessons are taught by 4 experienced teachers, both theoretically and practically. Our educational plan is prepared according to the educational needs of the gifted. The A1 Literature class is taught in “Higher Level” and “Standard Level” ongoing with the IB program.
Goals of the Department : To create individuals who use the language correctly in both verbal and written ways, who can handle academic work, who can push the limits of intellectuality and creativity, who can read a fiction with an understanding of all of its dimensions, who have a good reader profile, who can construct their own library, and who have social sensitivity and responsibility.
Program: To execute a program that will fulfill the academic needs of our students, which are interdisciplinary, and through enriching projects such as reading and research assignments that contributes to the curriculum.
Extracurricular Activities That the Department Holds: Culture and Literature Club, Ayaküstü Literature Magazine, Sabancı University Creative Writing Workshop.
Traditional Activities: Tale Night, Poetry Night
Annual Activities: The cultural organizations which are provided throughout the year (theater, seminar, symposium, etc.).

Name of the department: Science Department
Mission of the department: To increase the curiosity of gifted students for science and knowledge, and to give these students an opportunity to fulfill their potentials.
About the department: The TEVITOL Science Department was founded in 1993. Physics, Chemistry and Biology lessons are performed with the guidance of 8 teachers who are both theoretically and practically professionals in their branches.
Our program, which is prepared according to the needs of our gifted students, includes preliminary and optional subjects like astronomy, research methods, and terminology of science. The IB program is also applied to all of our lessons. Our department has approximately 150 hours of classes per week, 6 laboratories, and a regular classroom in the Science building.

Program: In the Science Department, our program is enriched with interdisciplinary work, research and experiments, and also meets our students’ academic needs. Especially for the 11th and 12th grade students, this program is efficient in terms of experiments; the TM (Turkish-Maths) students also learn at least one Science class extensively.
